Harry and David Chocolate Strawberry Giveaway!
Holiday traditions make me smile, even those my family no longer practices. Harry and David plays a role in one of those traditions; when I was younger, I remember noticing a Harry and David catalog on my mom’s desk and excitedly looking through it to marvel at the beautiful fruit baskets and delicious desserts available for purchase. The catalog’s presence could be explained by my grandfather – he had a major sweet tooth, and at Christmas my mom knew she could always count on a Harry and David treat to make the perfect present.
Unfortunately my grandfather passed away several years ago, but I still thought of him immediately when I was contacted by Harry and David to review their Chocolate Dipped Strawberries! He would have loved them.
My younger sister was supremely excited when I told her I was going to be getting these strawberries. She got home from school last night, so they arrived before she’d returned and I sent her a photo to get her psyched. I’m a tease.
Clearly I had to keep at least some of the strawberries fresh for her, and luckily Harry and David has a helpful staff running their Twitter account! I prefer receiving answers to my questions via tweet, not phone (who likes being on hold anyway!)
I adored the packaging the strawberries came in. The robin’s egg blue box reminded me of Tiffany’s, which made the delivery feel all the more fancy and special. You can bet I saved the adorable polka dot bow too!
As nice as the exterior packaging was, its contents could not be beat! The strawberries lay nestled in Reese’s cup style holders and stayed separated thanks to the interior velour packaging.
Hannah got home from school last night and savored her strawberries for sure. She was kind enough to send me some selfies. Let’s call them strawberry selfies for alliteration’s sake.
My sister isn’t the only one I shared the wealth with. My little brother, who needs my mom to leave fruit around the house for him to get him to eat it, chowed down on his fair share of the chocolate covered beauties. And my foodie friend Jeff of course partook in more blogging-related fun when we met up the other day to go Christmas shopping..
As a Fitfluential Ambassador (and as just ME), I strive to live a life that includes both the pillars of ENJOY and EAT. I’m pretty sure chocolate covered fruit is a perfect balance! These strawberries and other sweet fruity gifts from Harry and David could be the perfect choice for someone on your list who is seeking that balanced lifestyle.
